After 10 years in business, eBiz Solutions is looking to raise its profile in Memphis.

The company, which provides a variety of technology consulting services from design and development to aiding companies in search engine optimization, has done work for Shelby County Schools,Southern College of Optometry, the National Civil Rights Museum and the Cook Convention Center, and also has international clients in Canada, England, and Israel.

But Sridhar Sunkara, the company’s CEO, is expecting even more growth after the company completes development of its marketing strategy and moves into a larger office in East Memphis. Sunkara, who joined the company two and a half years ago after his wife launched it in 2005, says most of the work eBiz Solutions has done up to this point has been from word-of-mouth.

“People need to know our name and then we can at least get an opportunity to talk to them,” Sunkara said.

While the decision on where they’ll locate their new office hasn’t been finalized, Sunkara said once the move is done, the company will look to bring in nine or 10 new employees. eBiz Solutions currently has six employees.

One of the company’s current projects is incorporating sensors into different scenarios, including real estate, car lots and museums. Customers or visitors can receive information from the sensors on their mobile devices to get information ranging from information on a vehicle or property to facts on a particular exhibit. In return, information such as how long and how often a site, vehicle or exhibit is visited can also be gathered.

“We try to educate the client, show them what’s out there and let them choose,” Sunkara said. “We don’t push people into anything they don’t want to do.”
